Vážené kolegyně,
Vážení kolegové,

Rektorát upřesnil podmínky aktuální výzvy ESA zaměřené na návrhy výzkumných témat pro pobyt plánovaného českého astronauta na Mezinárodní kosmické stanici.

Každá fakulta může podat max. 2 projekty, u nichž bude vítána interdisciplinarita.

Pokud by z fakulty bylo více zájemců, je třeba projekty sloučit.

Prosíme Vás proto nyní o zvážení zapojení se a případnou informaci, zda byste měli zájem se zapojit. V rámci UK připravují projekty PřF, FTVS a LFP.

Projekty je třeba do 21. 10. 2024 nahlásit rovněž Rektorátu - viz přeposílaný email z RUK níže.

Deadline pro podání projektu u ESA je 11. 11. 2024; přístup do systému ESA Vám mohu poskytnout já.

Dear colleagues,

The Rectorate has published details of Charles University participation in the ESA call for proposals for research topics for the planned stay of a Czech astronaut on the International Space Station.

Each faculty can submit max. 2 projects. If possible, interdisciplinarity will be welcome.

Should there be more interested than 2 project teams, the projects would need to be joint.

We would like to ask you now to consider your possible participation and let us know in the case of your interest to partcipate in this call. The faculties that are planning to join within Charles University are Faculty of Science, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport and Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen.

All interested are required to register the planned project proposals with the Rectorate by October 21, 2024 - the registration link is marked in yellow in the forwarded Czech email from the Rectorate below.

The deadline to submit the project proposals by ESA is November 11, 2024; as to the access into the ESA registration system, it can be arranged by me.

Vážená paní proděkanko, vážený pane proděkane,

rádi bychom Vás informovali, že jsme zaznamenali zvýšený zájem několika týmů napříč UK o podání projektů do výzvy "CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR CZECH ISS EXPERIMENTS" https://www.caerpin.cz/en/news/call-for-proposals-for-czech-iss-experiments/, kterou vyhlásila ESA ve spolupráci s Ministerstvem dopravy ČR. Univerzity a výzkumné instituce jsou sice vyňaty z povinnosti podat maximálně dva projekty na jedno IČO, nicméně podané projekty musí být komplexní, ambiciózní a musí mít silně interdisciplinární charakter. Omezení počtu podaných projektů v případě vysokých škol platí na úroveň fakulty (jedna fakulta tak může podat max. 2 projekty). Tato výzva je strategického charakteru a může mít velké finanční dopady pro UK do budoucna.

Žádáme Vás proto o zaslání stručné informace kdo, jaký projekt a s jakým rozpočtem podává (pouze pro informaci, podání je plně v gesci jednotlivých fakult). Zároveň vyzýváme jednotlivé týmy, aby vzájemně spolupracovaly a koordinovaly své aktivity na úrovni fakulty a pokusily je sdružit do jednoho velkého interdisciplinárního projektu.

Rádi bychom Vás předběžně upozornili na výzvu ESA zaměřenou na návrhy výzkumných témat pro pobyt plánovaného českého astronauta na Mezinárodní kosmické stanici.

Výzva bude mít uzávěrku 11. 11. 2024 a aktuálně čekáme na upřesnění ze strany RUK, jak bude v rámci UK podávána.

Protože se ale čas na případnou přípravu se krátí, rádi bychom Vám dali alespoň možnost se na výzvu podívat, abyste případně věděli, o co se jedná.

Podrobnosti Vám zašleme po jejich upřesnění ze strany RUK.

We would like to preliminarily draw your attention to the ESA call for proposals for research topics for the planned stay of a Czech astronaut on the International Space Station.

The call will close on 11/11/2024 and we are currently waiting for clarification from the Rectorate as to how it will be submitted within Charles University.

However, since the time for possible preparation is running out, we would like to at least give you the opportunity to look at the call announcement so that you can possibly learn what it is about.

We will send you the application details after they have been clarified by the Rectorate.

The European Space Agency (the "Agency" or "ESA") and the Czech Ministry of Transport hereby invite you to submit a proposal in theframe of the Fixed Call for Proposals for Czech ISS Experiments under the Framework Project implementing ESA's support of space-related activities in the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as "Czech Third-Party Framework Project").The Call for Proposals is addressed only to Czech companies (including SMEs) or academic and research organisations in the Czech Republic. This CfP is part of the Czech Third-Party Framework Project. In the frame of the CfP, a maximum total budget of EUR 4,000,000 (four million Euro) was allocated for funding of the activities to be proposed with a possible additional budget of EUR 6,000,000 (six million Euro), which is dependant of additional funding to be provided by the time of projects selection. It shall be noted that not more than 10 projects will be awarded, irrespective of the final budget being available. Potential Tenderers are therefore requested to note that the Agency can only consider Proposals from companies or organizations residing in the Czech Republic, which operate in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic. However, consortia including companies and organizations within other ESA Member States, Associate Members and European Cooperating States may be accepted if fully and clearly justified. Co-investigators or co-participants to the proposal do not necessarily need to be based in the Czech Republic but it is expected that most of the work is done in the Czech Republic. All work performed by non-Czech entities, whether subcontract or external service, shall be highlighted and fully described in the proposal.
