[OGAP-l] COST - blížící se deadline / approaching deadline: 23. 10. 2024 + několik důležitých informací / important information

do 23. 10. 2024 je možné podat žádosti o nové akce COST.

Pokud jste do některého vznikajícího konsorcia přizváni i nyní na poslední chvíli jako zástupce tzv. ITC států (Inclusiveness Target Countries, tj. zemí, které jsou méně zapojeny do EU projektů - převážně ze středovýchodní a jižní Evropy), doporučujeme Vám pozvání přijmout - žádost o grant je již zpravidla z větší části konsorciem sepsána a nyní je třeba naplnit požadavky geografické, věkové a genderové balance. Minimálně polovina žadatelů (= zemí) každého konsorcia musí být složena právě z ITC států. Dále se dbá na to, aby mezi žadateli bylo dostatečně vysoké procento žen a zapojených mladých vědců do 40 let věku. Je tedy vhodné případný žadatelský tým za Vaše pracoviště (potažmo UK nebo celou ČR) sestavit odpovídajícím způsobem. V případě zájmu o tento typ grantu se také můžete kolegů v zahraničí sami zeptat, zda podobnou síť, kde by jim zatím chyběla česká účast, aktuálně nebo výhledově pro příští rok nesestavují.

Pro zapojení se do konsorcia je třeba si vytvořit profil na e-COST platformě (https://e-services.cost.eu/user/login) a email, se kterým jste se zde zaregistrovali, nahlásit hlavnímu předkladateli v rámci konsorcia.

Pokud byste někdy do budoucna chtěli o COST akci žádat sami nebo se účastnit některé aktivity COST obecně, využijete stejný profil - není tedy od věci jej mít založený.

Důležitá informace je, že vzhledem k běžícímu grantu COST na Matematické sekci je celá UK vedena v e-COSTu pod adresou na Sokolovské ulici v Karlíně. Než se toto podaří řešitelům změnit, tento profil je pro UK platný i s touto adresou.

Prosíme, nezapomeňte posléze podané COST žádosti nahlásit OGAP, včetně souhlasu vedoucích.

Dear colleagues,

until October 23, 2024, you can apply for new COST Actions.

If you are invited to a newly formed consortium even now at the last minute as a representative of the so-called ITC states (Inclusiveness Target Countries, i.e. countries that are less involved in EU projects - mainly from Central-Eastern and Southern Europe), we recommend that you accept the invitation - the grant application has usually already been written by the consortium for the most part, and now the requirements of geographical, age and gender balance must be met. At least half of the applicants (= countries) in each consortium must be made up of ITC countries. Furthermore, care is taken to ensure that there is a sufficiently high percentage of women and young scientists under the age of 40 among the applicants. It is therefore advisable to assemble a possible applicant team for your workplace (i.e. Charles University or the entire Czech Republic) in an appropriate manner. If you are interested in this type of funding, you can also ask your colleagues abroad whether they are currently working on or planning to set up a similar network in the future, where Czech participation would be lacking.

To join a COST consortium, you need to create a profile on the e-COST platform (https://e-services.cost.eu/user/login) and send the email address which you have used for the registration to the head of the consortium.

Should you at some point plan to submit your own COST application or join any COST event, you will need to have the same profile - it's therefore quite convenient to set it up.

The important information is that due to a current COST Action in the Department of Mathematics, entire Charles University is registered on e-COST with the address in Sokolovská street in Karlín. Until this has been changed, please, note that the CU account on e-COST is valid with this address.

Please, do not forget to let us know about the submitted COST applications, including the agreement of your leadership.

dne 27. 3. 2024 nabízí asociace COST online informační den pro zájemce o podání grantu COST nebo připojení se do existujících sítí COST.

Granty COST jsou networkingové granty zaměřené na mladé vědce (do 40 let věku). Kromě podání žádosti o vlastní akci COST je možné se průběžně zapojovat do již běžících akcí COST.

on March 27, 2024 the COST Association offers an online COST Info Day for those interested in submitting a COST grant proposal or joining an existing COST action.

COST grants are networking grants targeted on young scientists (up until 40 years of age). Aside of submitting your own COST Action proposal, it's possible to join also an already existing COST Action.
