Greetings,
while the full program of our seminar is still being assembled, this Wednesday (26/2/2025) we will be happy to host the first presentation of this semester, delivered by the colleagues from the Department of Applied Geoinformatics and Cartography, Faculty of Science of our university:
*Advanced Methods and Applications in Remote Sensing/Earth Observation*
*T**eam of the Department of Applied Geoinformatics and Cartography, Faculty of Science, Charles University - doc. RNDr. Přemysl Štych, Ph.D., doc. RNDr. Lucie Kupková, Ph.D., Mgr. Daniel Paluba, Ph.D., Mgr. Jan Svoboda.*
The aim of the seminar is to present advanced methods of processing a wide range of remote sensing data/Earth observation in the study of landscape change. Research and applications of multispectral, hyperspectral and radar data acquired by different systems (satellites, UAVs...) will be presented. The potential of combining these data with Copernicus climate data (e.g. Copernicus Climate Change Service) will also be presented. In the discussion part of the workshop, there will be time to discuss the importance of landscape data outputs (land use/land cover) for atmospheric and climate change research.
As usual, the seminar will start at *12:20* (in our lecture room *A1127*, at the top floor of Troja campus main building) and will be streamed at

Everyone is cordially invited.
Have a nice day
Best regards
