GAČR zveřejnil podmínky pro *možné úpravy běžících grantů v roce 2022* s 
ohledem na přetrvávající situaci s Covidem-19.

Dear colleagues,

GAČR has published the rules of *possible adjustments in use of the 
allocated funds in the current grants* because of the continuing 
Covid-19 situation *in the year 2022.*

*The measures adopted by GAČR to face the Covid-19 situation in the year 
2022*

/as published by GAČR on February 7, 2022; shortened version/

*Reallocation of funds between the funding chapters*

You can reallocate the financies between the funding chapters up until 
the amount of 100 000 CZK without any special request to GAČR or signing 
an amendment to the Grant Agreement until the end of the year 2022. The 
reallocation must be explained in the text part of the Interim or Final 
Report /(e.g. due to the cancellation of physical attendance to 
conferences ….. because of Covid-19 situation, we did not travel and 
used the saved money for purchasing equipment …. or hired another 
student ….. or similar). /

*Eligible costs in connection to Covid-19 situation*

-*Travel costs:* you may use your travel costs chapter of funding to 
cover obligatory Covid-19 tests necessary for your travels

-*Rescheduled conferences:* the conference fees and other related costs 
of postponed conferences may be covered also when the conference shall 
take place later, within max. 1 year after the end of your GAČR research 
project, under the condition that the costs are paid (e.g. as deposit) 
still during the duration of the grant period - and the reason for 
postponement is Covid-19 related

-*Cancellation fees* for conferences or cancelled travels may be covered 
if the reason to cancel the conference or the business trip was related 
to Covid-19 – but no double financing (e.g. a voucher for a hotel or a 
flight to be used later) is possible (or must be deduced from the funding)

*Changes in research team* are possible up until 35% of the work load of 
the research team as agreed upon in the Grant Agreement without any 
special request in 2022 – if the changes are Covid-19 related.

*Prolongation of the projects ending in 2022* because of Covid-19 
related reasons by another 6 months is possible if the principal 
investigator requests this change by GAČR (at MFF via OGAP) by the end 
of October 2022.

Another prolongation of already prolonged projects is not possible.
